Some commercial photographers, and some amateurs interested in artistic photography, have been resistant to using digital rather than film cameras because they believe that the image quality available from a digital camera is still inferior to that available from a film camera, and the quality of images taken on medium format film is near-impossible to match at any price with a digital camera. The aesthetics of photography is a matter that continues to be discussed regularly, especially in artistic circles. There are photography articles and guides. You have many options when it comes to a career in photography, depending on your own personal interests. Throughout the history of photography, technological advances in optics, camera production, developing, and imaging have had an effect on the way people view images. Many photographers agree that the commercially produced cameras were the single biggest drive to popularize the art form. The technology has improved so rapidly that one of Kodak's film cameras was discontinued before it was awarded a "camera of the year" award later in the year. Discover a wide range of digital cameras at low prices. Fashion photography emphasizes the clothes or product, glamour emphasizes the model. Photojournalism can be considered a subset of editorial photography. Conceptual photography turns a concept or idea into a photograph. We include photography tips and techniques. It is important to note that the differences between film and digital photography are far less significant than the differences between painting and film photography.

The Lookout

The Lookout

The most common hawk in North America, red-tails can often be seen atop lofty perches, on the lookout for potential prey. This one seen on a beautifully clear winter day in the Pacific Northwest.

This is one of my favorite shots of this duck...I went as lower as I can to get the lowest possible angle.

This drake nicely showed off his beautiful colors..

(Scapteriscus vicinus). Montgomery County, Texas. Mole crickets have specially adapted front legs that are modified for digging. They are proficient burrowers who spend most of the year underground. Tawny Mole Crickets are an introduced species that can be distinguished from the native Northern Mole Cricket by the number of dactyls (clawlike structure on the front leg). The introduced species have 2, while the Northern has 4.

Moment of Illumination

A burst of sunlight illuminates the endless maritime layers of Montana De Oro State Park.
Taken on a recent quick road trip. Due to really strong winds and high tides i decided to put my Big Stopper to use. Don't be mistaken, these rock formations are huge! climbing across them can be a fun but risky process. I got my tripod in position and started firing off shots; at a snails pace. This was about a 4-5 min exposure. I stood behind my tripod with my arms out like a scarecrow with my windbreaker on to shield my tripod from the wind as much as possible almost getting nailed by a few waves and massive chunks of sea foam in the process. I left here right after sundown with my face numb and my stomach ready for a warm meal at my campsite.

A Great Blue Heron gazes across a pond. Hunting or reflecting? The light was so pretty that I believe he was enjoying the scene.
