Digital photography has also been adopted by many amateur snapshot photographers, who take advantage of the convenience of the form when sending images by email, placing them on the World Wide Web, or displaying them in digital picture frames. The aesthetics of photography is a matter that continues to be discussed regularly, especially in artistic circles. "One picture is worth a thousand words," which has an interesting basis in the history of photography. Even after color film was readily available, black-and-white photography continued to dominate for decades, due to its lower cost and its "classic" photographic look.
